JOB DESCRIPTION

Establish, maintain and develop a network of distributors across Sub-Saharan Africa to drive growth with non-direct customers in line with the sub-regional strategy, annual sales and profitability targets. Ensure sustainability of the distributors and their performances by ensuring they acquire and maintain the requisite capabilities, focus on development of strategic customer segments and that their activities are complementary to the company’s values and purpose.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, manage and develop a network of distributors that serve and grow the company’s business in line with organizational priorities, including strategic plans and marketing segment plans.
  • Achieve Key Performance Index objectives according to the sales & marketing targets and global pricing strategy.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the company’s business across all segments via a distributor network that serves customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager and Sales director in central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, establish and maintain distributor Key Performance Indices and implement distribution policies.
  • Establish and implement distributor knowledge sharing platform, trainings and capacity development.
  • Engage with account managers on the transfer of customers to and from distributors in line with regional priorities and strategy.
  • Pool knowledge and experience to enhance the overall team offering and effectiveness.
  • Participate in the co-operative team environment, to ensure that the whole team is greater than the sum of its parts.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in science, technology or business-related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years industry experience, of which at least four years in management capacity.
  • Knowledge and experience of management.
  • Must have deep understanding of both distributor and customer’s needs.
  • Strong strategic planning and selling skills.
  • Strong negotiation skill and ability to close deal that deliver long term benefits and increase distributor and customer satisfaction.
  • Experienced user Information Technology systems such as BW, SAP and Microsoft office packages.
